CaffExpò is born from an idea of OPERA Research Centre for the sustainable development in agriculture, and the collaboration with the Ateneum Centre EXPOLAB. Currently Caffexpo is financed by the two research centers.

Opera is a new independent research centre within the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. coordinated by Prof. Ettore Capri. The main aim is to bridge the existing potential within the scientific and technical research in order to offer it to the food chain public and more specifically to give advice on concrete actions as well as management procedures within the agricultural – industrial sector.

UCSC ExpoLAB The UCSC ExpoLAB is coordinated by Prof. Pier Sandro Cocconcelli. This laboratory was born in 2011 in order to promote, coordinate and implement all scientific activities, initiatives that the University focused on the diffusion of good practices about the topics of the Expo2015.

AGRISYSTEM is a Doctoral School on the Agro-Food sector, founded in 2006 with the support of the Faculties of Agriculture, Economics and Law of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore - Piacenza and the sponsorship of Fondazione di Piacenza and Vigevano. Coordinated by Prof. Romeo Astorri, it is focused on the idea that today the complexity of the agri-food system requires a strong integration between the economical and legal aspects of the chain and the productive-scientific ones.
